It is reported that the Board for Reconstruction of Public Sector Enterprises (BRPSE), which takes decision on the sick PSUs, their revival etc. may not exist. The government has proposed to close the same and bring a small committee to look after the same. It is intended to take faster decisions.
The NDA government is on the route to privatise many sick PSUs. The same thing happened during the last NDA government. Already the government has taken decision to privatise 6 sick industries including certain units HMT.
We express our strong protest against this privatisation move.

It is true that Minister has stated that BSNL, MTNL will not be allowed to die. He also stated that revival plans are there. But nothing has come out so far. Even the Rs.6,700 crore of Spectrum Refund and Rs. 1,250 crore in lieu of ADC are yet to be paid.
