The Circle Executive Committee meeting of BSNLCCWF W.Bengal Circle was held at Jalpaiguri on 13-14 February 2015. Com.Tapas Ghosh, Secretary General BSNLCCWF attended on 13th and addressed the CEC and Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, President addressed on 14th February 2015. The meeting discussed about the issue of the casual contract workers and decided to continue sustained struggle to settle the demands.
The Open Session on 14th was also addressed by Com. Namboodiri, who is also the National Convener of the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations. it was also addressed by the leaders of the BSNL Unions/Associations.
Circle President Com. Govinda Das presided. Circle Secretary Com. Tapas Ghosh submitted the report which was approved by the house. The discussion by the delegates were very educative and positive.
Sir mai bsnl me contractors workers hu aur mai in kanpur ssa me kam krta hu sir contractors mujhe only 2500 rupees hi pay karte hai jab ki manrega me kam karne wala 250 rupaye se jayada pata hai sir monthly payment bhi contractors pay krte hai kahne par kahte hai ki vibag payment monthly deta hai sir aap se request krta hu ki sir payment monthly bank account or cheque ke dwara kra dijiye sir aap ki badi kripa hogi

The Govt. of India Labour department has notified how much wages are to be paid to the contract workers. At least about Rs.7,000 is to be paid to a unskilled contract worker in a ‘C’ class city. For semiskilled, skilled and highly skilled as also in ‘B’ Class and ‘A’Class the wages are higher. The amount is eing paid to the contractor. As per CMD BSNL order, the payment is to be made in cheque or Bank A/C. BSNLCCWF is the union of contract workers. Please contact them and enrol a a member. You will get all information.
bsnlccwf is the only federation in the bsnl under the presidentship of com. namboodri who always fought for the genuine demands like epf,medical,minimum wages,and implementations of labour laws but in some more circles it is not upto the mark all cs’s r to initiate and strengthen the bsnlccwf.to allocate some time atleast once in a month in their agenda . 1.no. of ccw data to be updated.2.how much wages r they getting3.any discrimination is to be identified4.implementation of labour laws. govt is very fastly moving towards modifying 1.labour laws2.apprentice law3.industrial law be alert it is an danger signs towards the workers in organised and unorganised sectors.
