What the Minister says is correct. What has been doing in the telecom sector was completely wrong. The UPA government tried to destroy BSNL and giving all benefits to the private companies, due to which BSNL has gone down both in revenue as well as in services. Will the new government change this scenario to revive BSNL. The Forum of BSNL Unions / Associations is trying to meet the Minister and present our priorities for a healthy BSNL and Telecom Sector.
Reviving BSNL means reviving the Telecom Sector itself.

Impossible. Innocent Minister. BSNL employees are too lethergic. They are not ready to work. If Minister wants to revive the Department, all of the BSNL staff has to be sent out to home.
Your comment is not based on facts. It is not the employees, but the government and the management which are responsible for the loss of BSNL. If the government has honoured its assurances to BSNL have been honoured and also if the government has taken over all the cash surpluses of the BSNL on the present position would not have arisen. The management also failed to manage the company effectively. Of course, the workers also have a share, but that it is limited. With 3,50,000 workers the company was doing good job with a good profit of more than Rs.5000-10,000 crore annually and paying the government about Rs.10,000 towards dividend etc. It is the same workers who are present in BSNL who made the profit. By cancelling the tender and procurement of crores mobile equipment etc. the government and management has crippled the company. Whether the soldiers without weapon are to be criticised for the defeat in the war on the government which did not equip the soldiers with weapons and ammunitions?
