According to the unaudited accounts of BSNL for the year 2012-13 an amount of Rs.323 crore is shown as rent. In 2011-12 this was Rs. 321 crore.
The Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations has been continuously demanding that all the rented offices should be vacated and the offices to be shifted to BSNL buildings. Of course there may be some places where BSNL may not be having buildings. But that alone can not come to such a big amount.
The BSNL Management should take immediate action in the matter so that the amount of rent being paid can be reduced to the minimum.

Of course we are having infrastructure to collect rent worth more than this. Let the Management find ways to realise the same.
This is the rent BSNL is paying. It has got to be reduced.

Dear Comrade I need some information. In a central public sector organisation, a group of employees joined in workmen cadre and among them a good number of employees had been promoted to Engineer position, that comes under officer cadre. After their promotion, non supervisor wage settlement was signed, in which the basic pay of the non supervisors was fixed more than the promoted engineers basic pay. As long as they were in non supervisor cadre they all were drawing same basic pay. After the promotion of around 135 employees, non supervisor wage settlement had caused higher basic to the non supervisors than those had been promoted. The information I want is, does their any court judgement to set right this pay anomaly? If so, can you please reply me mentioning the detail? Please reply me. Regards N.Jayaraj Chennai.
Dear Comrade, I do not have any information of any court judgement in similar cases. It will be better if you contact some advocates who will be able to find out thew same.
In BSNL there are some cases, where after the wage revision, the seniors in the higher cadres are getting less than their juniors in the lower cadre due to the point-to-point fixation in wage revision. In this case certain court judgements are there directing the Management to fix the pay of the seniors in the higher grade to that of their seniors who are getting more. But both the senior and juniors are only in the non-executive scales.
