The tragedy befallen in Uttarakhand and HP due to the floods, deluge, landslides, cloud bursts has taken hundreds of lives and thousands are still stranded despite the valiant efforts of the Military to evacuate them. Loss due to devastation of houses, properties, destruction of roads etc. are beyond imagination.
All these require huge funds. it will not be possible by the government alone to meet all this. Generous donations/assistance from one and all are required to restore normalcy in the hilly regions.
In addition to working 24 hours to restore communication services in the hills where the system stands cut off, BSNL Employees also have to help financially. BSNL Employees union has called upon the employees to donate at the rate of Rs.200 to the disaster fund. BSNLEU has written to the management to deduct the amount from the salary.
All India BSNL Pensioners Association (AIBDPA) has called upon the pensioners for liberal donations, not less than Rs. 100/- immediately to the CHQ, which will be handed over to the Prime minister’s Relief Fund or any other Fund constituted by the government for this purpose.
Let us donate liberally to help our brethren is distress.
Dear sir good efforts from chq but i like to say that it may be one day salary so the people of himachal predesh and uttrkahand will be assisted by bsnl employees .
Dear Comrade, Your suggestion is welcome.
Why the working class of the nation should pay. It is up to the Govt of BJP and Congress who have violated the guidelines of CAG. It is not the case as the @Qg ort Coal mine as( 176000 cr and 186000 cr. ) wherein no body is booked
Of course as you said a great responsibility lies upon the governments for the disaster. And they also have got the responsibility to address the problems arising out the tragedy. But it can not be limited to that. Just like a war, it is not only the military, but the entire nation has to dfend the country and contribute their mite. In the same way, when there is a national disaster each and every person has got a responsibility to be of help. As at the time of war with Pakistan or the earth quake in Gujarat or the Tsunami, the government and the public have to jointly make all out eforts to restore normalcy. And one way to help is by contributing donations.
hello sir,
it was quite painful to hear the tragic stories of the disaster. Also it amazes me that no neighbouring country is ready to help which India had done actively in cases of Tsunami and Pakistan floods.
Could you please send me from where can I transfer the money as I stay in Germany and wish to donate a part of my small income.
My appreciation to your concern. You can send your contribution to the Prime Ministers Relief Fund, office of the Prime Minister, Government of India, New Delhi – 110001.
