BSNL Contract Workers Union has been formed at ALTTC, Ghasiabad. Today, 8th May 2013, a meeting of the contract workers was held at ALTTC presided over by Com. R.S.Sagar, Circle Secretary of BSNLEU. About 60 comrades participated. Coms. V.A.N.Namboodiri, President BSNLEU and BSNLCCWF, S.C.Bhattacharjee, Treasurer BSNLEU and Circle Secretary Chhattisgarh, L.D.Shukla and other leaders addressed and spoke about the issues of the contract workers. A few contract workers spoke pointing out their problems.
After discussion, it was decided to form BSNL Contract Workers Union at ALTTC. Office bearers with Coms. L.D.Shukla (President) and R.S.Sagar (Circle Secretary) were elected unanimously.

hello sir i a job contract labour of bsnl last few days before i asked in any in myworking time can we job contract labours may be permanent employee of bsnl ,but sorry to said that u nt response.in which country we live and in which department we work there is no leave ,my mother is a patient of osteoporisis in a month i have take her to doctor in esi then i will be absent or either i have to give oil to my concerning officers
sir i asked is there no rule where the contract labours get any leave faciltys i absent or present i have to take my mother who is the world great person in my knowldge.

As per the existing Recruitment Rules for TM, casual contract workers are not eligible.TSMs are eligible. BSNLEU and BSNLCCWF have demanded for change of Recruitment Rules to make casual labour also eligible for appearing in the exam but so far the management has not agreed.We are persuing the matter.

Dear Comrade, As per the present orders only TSM is eligible to appear for the examination for TM. The union has demanded that casual labour be also allowed. Management had not agreed so far to include casual labour. Casual labour was earlier eligible to be regularised in the RM without examination. These are the consideration on which the demand has been raised.
