In the meeting today of the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations, it has been decided to organise a lunch hour dharna on 18th September 2012 to be followed by more programmes demanding completion of the repatriation of ITS.
The details of the meeting including decisions on other issues will be published later. The Lunch hour programme should be jointly held every where. Make it a complete success.
why the Non executives should agitate for absorption of ITS officers, Let them be in deputation in BSNL and work for BSNL cause rather than seek permanent absorption. Tell the ITS that they should work for the betterment of BSNL rather than harm it. Let the Unions first talk with ITS fraternity and get all pending issues viz getting approval from DOT/Govt of all the issues relating to Non executives. The absorbed Executives were the one who opposed for MT recruitment initially, now they are singing different tune. What benefit will Non executive get by struggle for ITS absorption now. Its is the executive associations which know very well that without NE unions support they won’t be able to achieve anything. History tells us that on many issues executives have distanced from unity on many occasions. What is the guarantee that after ITS absorption issue is settled, these executives will strive hard to bring BSNL in its glory days.
The main question is that whether those working in an organisation should belong to it or should not belong to it. In my opinion for whole commitment they should be part of the organisation and not away from it. Either on deputation or on contract is not the correct system. I am opposed to both of it. We are not only demanding absorption/repatriation of ITS, but we are also demanding that the contract workers should be regularised.
Sir..It is the right time to either end ITS deputation or to revert bsnl to DOT…
