I am putting this post in my blog at about 10.00 PM on 19th June in UK. But the same is beiing shown as at about 02.30 AM of 20th June in my blog. But it is nothing unusual in the circumstances.
I am in UK. The time here at present is 04.30 hours less than Indian Standard Time. hence the difference. By about 04.30 hours in morning the sun rises and even at 09.00 PM in the night, there is sun light. It is warm when the sun is there, but will be cold the next minute. It is also raining some times. The island climate can not be taken for granted; it is changing by the minute.
since I am to return to India shortly, I have neither changed the time in the watch or laptop to UK time. Hence some confusion also when calculating the time.
Comrade, what’s your reply to the charge made against you by Madras Circle Secretary of NFTE Sri C.K.Mathivanan who wrote that you were already aware that the Strike would not take place and hence you had flown to London on 12th of June 2012.
I had not been able to read what Com.Mathivanan has written about me, except what you commented and hence can not reply on them. It is a fact that I along with my wife have come to UK to visit my son and family on 11th June. The visit was planned and tickets purchased much before we have taken the decision to go on strike. It was also difficult to change the date due to the huge amount which have to be paid for the chnage of flight tickets if the tour was postponed. I placed the situation to the Forum in its meeting and only after the Forum gave permission, I have left. At that time the decision was to make the strike a big success. it is later, after the meeting with the CMD and reaching a fruitful agreement, that the Forum has decided to defer the strike. The decision has been appreciated by the workers. My presence or absence was not the reason for the deferment of the strike, but only the successful agreement between the Forum and the management.
