Two more unions have called for strike increasing the number of unions participating in the strike. General Secretary, FNTO BEA, Com. P.Andiappan has intimated that they will be participating in the strike and notice already issued. General Secretary of BSNL Casual and Contract Workers Federation Com. Tapas Ghosh has also intimated that they will be participating in the strike. Altogether now 19 unions have given call for strike.
Massive mobilisation is taking place in all the circles for the successful strike. The Forum will be meeting today at 1200 hours to finalize strike preparations.
All BSNL workers are requested to participate in the strike.

I have seen that you are appealing to every worker and Union/Association. But can you tell me that if Joint Forum has invited SNATTA for the participation for the strike. TTAs all over India having strength of around 10,000 may be doubtful for the strike which you are claiming into be a historic one.

All the unions and Associations have been invited openly to participate in the meetings of the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations. The strike is being organised by the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations which have come together on their own and there was no special invitation to any particular union. All unions are welcome to be party to the strike. In fact, two unions have even joined today in the Forum and signed the strike notice and circular. The strike is being organised by the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations who have come together and formed the Forum.At present 18 unions have joined the strike decision. SNATTA is also welcome just like any other union/association.

I HEARD THAT FNTO AT THEIR STRIKE NOTICE MENTIONED FOR POST 1.1.07 RECUITED 30% FITMENT BENEFITS (AT PAGE 2 , PT 8) BUT BSNLEU & NFTE DON’T TAKE IT SERIOUSLY…………….
The strike is being organised by the Forum of BSNL Unions/Associations, at present consisting of 18 unions. The demands and the strike decision has been taken unanimously by all the unions, taking in to consideration of all the relevant issues and connected matters. If you visit the website of any of the union going on strike you will see the circular and other matters in this connection, which explains the reasons for the strike and the demands. There are many other demands which the unions independently and in the Joint Forum etc. are taking.
FNTO has given separate notice for strike for oneday on 13th June on demands finalised by it.
