Joint Action Committee of BSNL Associations/Unions has approached Members of Parliament of various political parties to raise the issues of financial viability of BSNL and the discriminatory attitude of the government to BSNL and MTNL. On behalf of JAC, I have sent detailed notes on the matter to S/Shri Basudev Acharya, Brinda Karat, Tapan Sen (CPIM), Gurudas Dasgupta (CPI), Dr. Sanjeeva Reddy (INC) and other MPs. I have also requested that in connection with the 15th December Strike, the issue may be raised in the Parliament. I hope they will seriously take up the issue with government.

The years along Telecom Employee’s strike had always remained within the contour of the DOT and / or BSNL family as a separate entity. I cant understand why our unions are unable to make it as the depiction of the move in the interest of the Public property ? when all these unions are strong enough ? Apart from making these strikes as the salary sensing only , we do expect that the unions should make them more socially awared to sought the public platform in future, without which it will be very difficult to put the fingers in parliamentary decision making procedures . After all its a democracy and nothing happens without the politics in the name of democracy. Is it not ture ? Then I am sur,e we can do it .
