The attack on the PSUs has been sharpened after the assembly elections. The UPA Government which could not divest any PSU during its first term due to the strong opposition of the Left Parties, without the support of which it could not continue in power and which could only start with some disinvestments only during its second tenure till now, has been emboldened by the recent elections to start the sale of family silver – the privatisation of the central PSEs.
It has started with the Cabinet taking a decision on 19th May to sell the Scooters India Limited which is in loss, of course due to the anti-PSU policy of the government. Instead of trying to make it financially viable, the Government has decided to sell to help the private companies in the sector. Scooters India Limited was started in 1972 and was producing three wheelers till the eighties in competition with the private companies.
There is no doubt that it will be sold cheap as in the case of Balco, CMC, Hindustan Zinc, HTL, IPCL, Jessop & company and VSNL which were privatised during the NDA regime.
The Trade Unions and the people of the country have to move immediately to ensure that this process of privatisation is stopped forthwith. Otherwise, there will be no PSUs left within some 10 to 15 years. The slogan of the NDA government that ‘Business is not the business of the Government’ will be fully implemented.

The entire people know who are corrupt. The recent scams like CWG, 2G, Adarsh flats, ISRO-Devas, through which lakh and lakh of rupees have been lost to the government have been committed by the top level politicians of the ruling class. Not even a single communist is involved. The workers in Scooters India have to struggle aginst privatisation. CPIM and CITU have supported all such struggles. Now all the Central Trade Unions have come together against privatisation and a Parliament March, one day strike and other agitation has been conducted. Instead of opposing the neo-liberal policies of the government which is continuing with its policy of privatisation accusing the trade unions have no basis or meaning.
I am in receipt of your mail. The fight against privatisation is going on and all the Central TUs are together in this. That is why the Central TUs together has gone on one day successful strike, Parliament March and other agitational programmes. At the same time, the workers in the particular PSU where the attack has come have to resist jointly and then all the Central and TUs will extend solidarity and support. In the BSNL, three times the govt. had decided to disinvest and all the three times the workers have jointly resisted and defeated it..In the same way Scooters India Limited workers have also to start the struggle and naturally all the TUs will support the same.

Please give all details about the privatisation proposals of the Scooters India Limited instead of criticising every body in the matter. If your interst is only to criticise and not to do one’s own job, it will be against your interest itself. Prepare a detailed memorandum and send the same to all party M.P.s with a copy to me. Include the reasons how it had come to the present position etc. Please give your full address and which union you represent, if any. Let us be positive and instead of negative.

Instead of criticising every body else for the present position of Scooters India Limited, let us be positive. Prepare a detailed memorandum on the issue of Scooters India and the points against privatisation and send it to important M.P.s of all parties seeking their support. You can send me also a copy. Give the details how it had come to the present position etc. If your interest is only to criticise political parties, it will not help. Let us be positive instead of negative.

I want to inform you that the P.M wrote a Ltter to CMD of PSU SCOOTERS INDIA for send a Revival Project / Pakage for it. Its
CMD is inactive and have no any knowledge as a CMD previously.
At the same time FM and Praful Patel is giving statement that they are preparing for Global Tender of its sell off. We ( The Dependent Of Vikram 3wheelers) are not understand ,what is doing by the Government and who is the main person behind this Privatisation.
THE CMD HAS NO CONFIDENCE TO WORK BOLDLY and he is expendinding the time for his retirement. PRAFUL PATEL has a presure from ATUL AUTO for SIL’s sell Off to them because he allready receive BLACK MONEY from them and incressed his fund 123 crores. So Please do something for poor people / Dependent
of SIL.Also I request you to Join in the UNION of this PSU.
My am not intersested to critisied you. I was a suppoter of your Party. But at now I am so many upset about yours working style. I am Hopeless that I could not send the details possition of SCOOTERS INDIA LTD to all MP’s of all political parties because I have no email address of that MPs. At present SCOOTERS INDIA LTD,Lucknow has a good possition with a profit. Its product has a good reputation and public faith as a government’s product.Its products has a huge market demand. But corrupted Ministers with their cabinet officials does not want to revive it.Because They are attaching with private company, as like Mr. Praful Patel with Gujrat based Atul Auto,
Vilash Rao Deshmukh with M&M , Rahul Bajaj is Congress member, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi with PIAGGIO and its ministrial officias also. 3-4 years ago, this ministrials expendeds this PSU’s
19 crores for ” JAGRITI PROJECT” for its development. But there is no result came from that project upto till now. Actually that project was a way to earn 10 crores money through a consultant
Mr. Bhattacharya who is a nearest person of Heavy Industry Ministrials and Private company.
As a result this PSU looses 19 crores loss. You see when Mr. Pranab Mukharjees Son was work
in Indan Airlines and Air India, then Government approved a huge revival package(200/300 crores) for this PSU. But this PSU SCOOTERS INDIA LTD has no any Leaders son and Private company’s are offering BLACK MONEY to the Minister and its Officials for its sell off to private.
Thats why this Government wanting to sale this PSU. IT IS TRUE THAT IF GOVERNMENT ACTUALLY WANTING FOR THIS PSU’s REVIVAL THEN AT FIRST THEY CHANGED ITS UNEXPERIENCED CMD and HELPED FINANCIALLY FOR INTRODUCE A NEW PRODUCT.
BUT This Governments are acting Drama for its revival and help Private company for development their market. MY ABOVE CLAIM IS MY Challenge if you don’t belive then you can
investigate by CBI in this PSU. We are wanting your help for Lacs of poor SIL dependents Life.
