Com.B.T.Ranadive, militant leader of the working class passed away 25 years back on this day, 06th April 1990. He was PB Member of CPI(M) till his death and was the General Secretary of the undivided CPI during 1948- 50. He was also the founder President of CITU.

Though it is 25 years since his death, his contribution to the working class and the progressive forces through out India is well remembered even now. He had attended many of the Conferences of the P&T Unions and I had been fortunate enough to meet and discuss with him the union issues several times. His article have been published in big three volumes by the CITU.
