TRAI recommends less licence fee for telecom operators

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended to the government to reduce the licence fee of telecom operators from 8% to 6%.

The private telecom operators have been demanding the government to reduce the licence fee.

MNP to be fully implemented by May 2015

DOT has given clear instructions to all the telecom operators to fully implement the Mobile Number Portability (MNP) by 3rd May 2015, so that any subscriber who shifts his telephone from one service area to another or to other states can retain the number.
