Corruption is a deadly decease – Drastic treatment required.

corruption

When I was in discussion regarding the revival of BSNL with a senior executive in BSNL, I was told that rampant corruption is one of the reasons for the present downward financial position of the company. He also stated that many of the top management officers are under vigilance inquiry.

This is not a new information. But according to him the corruption is wide spread and that even some Directors were/are involved.

If it is true, it is serious. Corruption erodes  the body and make the living dead. All of us unitedly have to fight corruption, wherever it is. It is not only the person involved, but the entire organisation itself will be condemned for corruption.

The Supreme court has asked the CBI to submit the details of its probe against former Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel, who has ordered  a large number of 111 air-crafts for Air India, gave preferential routes to private companies taking them from Air India and the merger of Air India – Indian Airlines.

In fact, these are some of the wrong decisions which have been taken by then Civial Aviation Minister which made Air India in to loss and turmoil. I have pointed out these issues several times. PSUs are being dealt with as their kingdom by the Ministers who wants to maximum benefit personally.

Let the inquiry be over so that we will know the extent of the corruption.

There is a news which is unheard of so far. The HSBC has decided that the Bonus of the staff will be cut in order to pay the penalty being imposed on the bank for the shadowy and corrupt practices, which have been exposed now. HSBC is alleged to have put unaccounted money in their Swiss Branch. It is also reported that this will affect the salary hike of the staff.

Corruption/shadowy practices by the bank and the penalty on the employees. This has to be strongly protested and defeated.

Highly Important Govt. Documents Stolen and Leaked – Corporates involved – Will any serious action be taken?

It is official now. Espionage in Central Ministries!

There has been continuous suspicion that important documents were being leaked out and handed over to the Corporates, especially in coal, petrol, gas, telecom etc., in which sectors lakhs of crores of rupees are involved. Now this has been proved and the culprits are caught red-handed.  12 people including some low paid government officials and senior executives of corporate houses have been arrested.

The senior executives of Reliance Industries Ltd., Essar Group, Cairn India, Jubilant Energy and Anil Dhiru Ambani Group include those arrested.

It is also reported that the leaked documents include even a letter written addressed to the Prime Minister by his Private Secretary.

Now that the big corporates are involved, despite assurance by the government that they will take strict action against the culprits, the case may be delayed or side-tracked, as were being done earlier.

This should not happen.

Rs. 25,420 Crores in Swiss Accounts, Big Corporates and Politicians in the list

corruption, Foreign Accounts

The new revelations by some investigating newspaper agencies have once again shown the huge amounts, mostly black money, put in foreign banks by Indian Corporates, big business and politicians. It is stated that the total amount in these 1195 accounts will come to about Rs. 25,420 crores.Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Reliance Industries, Naresh Goyal (Jet Airways), Burmans (Dabur), Dalmiya, Chabria, Reheja, Birla – all are account holders.

What action the government is going to take against these accounts holders? From the past experience, the action will be delayed and later forgotten. That has the experience in earlier corruption cases.

Strong pressure and agitation are required demanding immediate action against the culprits who are cheating the people and the government.

Publish the List of Black Money Accounts, Mr. Jaitley!

The Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley has stated in the Parliament that it has tracked down 427 foreign accounts in HSBC in  Geneva and that 250 account holders out of them have admitted that they have accounts. Well!

What is the need of keeping these account holders name secret? Is it to give time to them to withdraw the amount and put it in some other foreign banks? Or is it to give them time to shift themselves to other countries so that they can escape?

As Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitley should immediately publish the name of the holders of black money accounts and expose them before the public. These are not ordinary or common people, but who have made illegal money. Bring them to  justice!

Issue White Paper on Black Money, Name the people who hoarded black money – CPI(M)

New Delhi, Oct 22 : CPI(M) today demanded the issuance of a White Paper detailing the amounts of illegal money stashed away abroad and those involved, saying just naming some individuals would not serve any purpose.
Accusing the Narendra Modi government of “going back” on its poll promise of bringing back black money in foreign banks, senior CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury said, “Now the government is saying that through affidavits, it would name some people. But naming some people has already been done in the past and that does not serve any purpose.”
All accounts held by Indians abroad would have to be examined “whether they are legal or illegal and, on that basis, a White Paper has to be prepared on the amount of black money that has been stashed abroad and by whom,” he said.
He was reacting to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s statement that the government would inform the courts about names of some who hold black money in foreign accounts.
“This is what they had promised in the elections and are now going back on it,” the CPI(M) leader said, adding that the government was taking the earlier UPA-II government’s line that international agreements, including the double taxation avoidance treaty with Switzerland, would be breached.
“All through the election campaign, Modi and BJP have been continuously harping on the issue and accusing Congress of protecting those who stashed away huge amounts in various havens, majority of them in Swiss banks, and promising to unearth them. Now they are going back on it,” Yechury said. Terming as “toally unwarranted” Jaitley’s statement that the names to be given to the courts would embarrass Congress, CPI leader D Raja said the BJP government should come out with details of what steps it was taking to bring the money back.
“This unaccounted money illegally stashed away abroad genuinely belongs to the people. The government should show political will to bring it back and not try to score brownie points,” he said.
Whether the names would “embarrass Congress or BJP is not the issue. The issue is who all are in possession of black money. Come forward with the names, D.Raja said.

Cash for seats – now it is the former Karnataka Chief Minister

Cash for seat, corruption, Kumaraswamy

One other cash-for-seats scam has been revealed. Former Karnataka Chief Minister Shri HD Kumaraswamy JD(U) is shown in a video agreeing for Rs. 20 crore to give a seat in the Upper House to an applicant.
The interesting factor is that the former Chief Minister is not denying the video, but is justifying that by telling that Congress, BJP, every body is doing the same.
The Indian politicians have gone down the drain to the lowest stage.

Rocketing assets of UPA Ministers

corruption, Increase of assets, UPA Ministers

It is no surprise or wonder. The report in the Economic Times dated 09-04-2014 has given a graphic account of the shooting up assets of the UPA Ministers at the Centre during the period from 2009 to 2014. At the top stands Kamal Nath with 1471% in increase in his assets and next is Praful Patel with 156%. Communications Minister Kapil Sibal is third with 358%. Shashi Taroor, Jyotiraditya Scindia etc. are next.
Fully tainted by large scale corruption, most of the Ministers in the UPA government have been exposed. It is a shame that the corrupt ministers are still roaming around seeking vote from the public. They should be taken to task for cheating the government and the Nation.

The Supreme Court has pulled up the Centre for failure to take steps during last six decades to bring back black money deposited in foreign banks.

Economy, per capita income, would have gone up and the income-tax rate would have reduced if money in foreign banks had been brought to India, the apex court said.

The Supreme Court rejected the Centre’s plea against setting up a SIT to monitor and probe the issue of black money inside and outside the country.(PTI)
