An appeal to Comrades, Friends and Visitors

I am getting a lot of comments for the posts .published in the blog. Some of them are advertisements or trash. Of course, they are not published and deleted. But some others, I am not able to sort out whether genuine or not.
Hence, it is necessary to give your name and address, if you require a reply to your comments. Your co-operation is requested.

The militant tradition of W.Bengal Comrades

I always had a great fascination for W.Bengal. The reasons are many. Being  the head quarters of Esst India Company and later British Empire in India, naturally the resistance also started there. Of course, the centre of resistance of the First War of Independence 1857 was in the Hindi belt.
The cultural heritage of Bengal is also well known. The spirited fight of Bengalis compelled the British to cancel the division of Bengal.
The early history of P and T trade union movement is  closely connected to Calcutta. It is here that Pioneers like Henry Barton, Tarapada and B.N.Ghosh built up the mighty movement. It is here where Comrade K.G.Bose  lived and worked, who inspired a whole generation of young comrades like me to dedicate ourselves to the cause of workers and to  fight uncompromisingly against the revisionist tendencies and leadership in the organisation.
I remembered all these when I am here to attend the circle conference of BSNLEU at Krishnagar. The discussion in the conference has once again shown that Bengal keeps its militant tradition.

Congratulations to Kailash Sathyarthi and Malala Yousafzai

This years Nobel Price for Peace has been awarded jointly to one Indian and one Pakistani – both who have dedicated for the cause of children – Kailash Sathyarthi and Malala Yousafzai.
The award of this Nobel Price for peace is indeed noteworthy, a change from the past. While the former was not much known except for those connected with his Bachpan Bachao Andolan, though it has been spread over 140 countries, Malala has already become a world celebrity during the last few years for her courageous fight for girls’ education. One is a senior citizen, the other is a girl student.
My Congraulations  for both Nobel Awardees!

There is hardly one month left for the Conference, which will be held from 6th to 9th November 2014. We discussed the matter with the GM TF also.
The staff of TF Kolkata are very happy that the AIC is being held at their factory premises. They are offering all help.

Circle Conference of BSNLEU W.Bengal starts today.

The Circle Conference of BSNLEU W.Bengal Circle Conference will start today, 9th October at Krisnagar.
W.Bengal is one of our militant circle and has contributed much to the growth  of BSNLEU.
Just like all trade unions in W.Bengal, BSNLEU is also under heavy attack. The Mamata Government and the Trinamool goons together are attacking all democratic institutions. It is in this situation that the conference is being held.
I will attend address the Open Session tomorrow. The discussion and decisions will be crucial.

We Remember Eternal Revolutionary Che !

Che Guevara, the eternal icon of Revolutuion and Sacrifice, was brutally assassinated 47 years back in 1967 on this day, 9th October. In the Bolivian Forests where he was fighting for freeing the country from the US stooges, he was captured and summarily assassinated.
Red Salute to the Eternal Revolutionary!

One third of world poor in India !

As per a recent report of the World Bank – IMF, one third of the world poor is in India. According to the report, India has the maximum poor people in the world. Out of about 100 crore poor in the world, India owns more than 30 crore. China has 7 per cent, the second country with maximum.
This really is a sad situation. Even after 6 decades after independence, situation for the poor has not changed much. The ruling classes and ruling political parties did not care for the poor. They were interested only in amassing wealth for them and their families.

Kolkata Airport modernised, defeat the move to privatise.

It is some time since I had visited Kolkata. To attend the Circle Conference  of W.Bengal Circle being held at Krisnagar, I reached Kolkata yesterday, coming from Thiruvananthapuram after the AIBDA Conference.
The moment I came out of the plane and started walking to the exit through the airport building, I could feel the great change that has taken place. The irport has been modernised. There is space and there is grace. Convenient too. The too congested and inconvenient air port has been changed for the better.
The Airport Authority of India has done a good job and utilised its valuable funds for the modernisation.
Now money has been spent by AAI and airport modernised, the Govt. wants to hand over the same to private companies. This should be strongly opposed and defeated. The W.Bengal people, I am sure, will see that the privatisation move is defeated.
