Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary AIBDPA has intimated that the DOT has replied to the query raised by the Dept. of Pension and Pension Welfare on the 78.2% IDA for pensioners and sent the same. Once the Dept. of Pensions and PW approves, the file will go to Department of expenditure.

Co-Ordination Committee of Central-State Pensioners Association of T.Nadu organised its state conference at Chennai on 4th December 2013. 528 delegates participated. 52 delegates, including 5 women, participated from All India BSNL DOT Pensioners Association(AIBDPA) led by Com. C.K.Narasimhan, Circle Secretary.
Com.P.R.Natarajan CPI(M) M.P. and a well wisher of BSNLEU and other trade unions,inaugurated the Convention. From AIBDPA, Coms. C.K.Narasimhan and Kali Prasad addressed.
The Conference elected Coms.NI Sridaran and A.Sundaram as President and Secretary respectively.

Today, 2nd December, Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor AIBDPA & President, BSNLEU, Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary, AIBDPA and Com. Animesh Mitra, Dy. General Secretary, BSNLEU met Mrs. Annie Moraes,Member (Finance), DOT and discussed the issues of 78.2% IDA Merger and Anomaly of those who retired within 10 months of formation of BSNL. The representatives expressed their displeasure over the delay being caused for one or other reasons. The Member (F) assured that as the file has been received from the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare with a query, it will be replied with minimum delay as far as possible despite the usual official procedure.
Regarding anomaly also, further delay is caused due to some more details required by the Department of Pensions and Pensioners’ Welfare.
Representatives also met Shri Prachish Khanna Director (Estt.), who stated that the draft of reply of 78.2% IDA to the Dept of P&PW is finalised and will be sent as early as possible after ratification by the higher officers. As for the anomaly issue, BSNL is being addressed for furnishing the required particulars.

The Pensioners have become militant. It is clear by the massive marches organised by the All India BSNL DOT Pensioners Association (AIBDPA) today, 28th November 2013, in all the Circle HQs and also CCAs demanding settlement of the 23 Points Charter of demands. As per the reports received so far from the Circle unions, massive participation was seen. BSNLEU leaders and workers also participated in most of the centres.
The BSNL authorities as also the DOT (CCAs) should ensure that the justified demands of the senior citizens who have worked their entire active life for the service of the nation should be conceded with out further delay.

Com.K.G.Jayaraj, General Secretary, AIBDPA, had a talk with Shri Prachish Khanna, Director (Estt.), DOT on 25th November. Regarding 78.2% IDA, he stated that the file is yet to be sent back to DOT by the Department of Pension & Pensions Grievances.
The file on the Pay Anomaly of 2000 conversion of CDA to IDA is returned to DOT seeking certain clarifications by the Dept. of P& PG.
AIBDPA and BSNLEU are pursuing the case effectively.

All India BSNL DOT Pensioners’ Association (AIBDPA) General Secretary Com.KG Jayaraj has given call, as per the decision of the Jaipur CEC Meeting, to organise massive CCA/Circle office march on 28th November 2013 demanding settlement of the issues mentioned in the 23 point Charter of Demands submitted already.
BSNL workers and their organisations are sure to support this just and reasonable demand. Give all solidarity and support to the agitation by the Pensioners.

AS PER THE DECISION OF THE JAIPUR CENTRAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING of AIBDPA HELD ON 5-6TH OCTOBER,2013,WE HAVE ALREADY CONDUCTED THE PROTEST DAY ON 25TH OCTOBER BY HOLDING DEMONSTRATIONS AT DISTRICT/CIRCLE LEVEL AND SENDING FAX MESSAGES TO THE MINISTER FOR COMMUNICATIONS AND SECRETARY,DOT MOST SUCCESSFULLY ON THE 23 POINT CHARTER OF DEMANDS,FOCUSSING 78.2% IDA FIXATION.
ON THE INITIATIVE OF BSNLEU,THE CMD ,BSNL WROTE A DO LETTER TO THE SECRETARY,DOT CLARIFYING THE EXACT AGREEMENT PROVISION WITH REGARD TO THE ARREARS OF 78.2% IDA FIXATION,SINCE THE DOT ORDER DATED 10-06-2013 HAS A CLAUSE WHICH STATED “NO ARREARS WILL BE PAID”.
THESE DEVELOPMENTS HAD THE DESIRED RESULT AND THE DOT APPROVED PENSION REVISION BASED ON 78.2% IDA MERGER AND SENT TO THE PENSION DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR APPROVAL.HOWEVER THE FILE HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED BACK TO DOT.WE ARE PURSUING AT THE PENSION DEPARTMENT FOR EARLY APPROVAL.
MEANWHILE WE HAVE TO IMPLEMENT THE SECOND PROGRAMME OF THE JAIPUR CEC,MARCH TO CCA OFFICE /CIRCLE OFFICE WITH MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION. (AIBDPA NEWS)

A meeeting of the available membes of the Bharat Central Pensioners Association (BCPC) wass held on 19th October 2013 at New Delhi, presided over by Shri S.C.Maheswari, Secretary General BPS. From AIBDPA Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri, Advisor attended. Com. S.K.Vyas, Secretary General reported the lastet developments.The following decisions were taken:
1. Shri S.C.Maheswari was elected as Chairman of BCPC, in place of Shri S.S.Ramachandran, whose resignation was accepted with much reluctance.
2. The next AGM will be held at New Delhi, after Holi. The date will be fixed in consultation with the Chairman.
3. The draft terms of reference for VII Central Pay Commission presented by Secretary General was adopted after discussion.
