For years, I have been posting some writeups or news in my blog without much break. But for the last few months, it has been a big break, without posting anything. This was not intentional. But it happens sometimes. From the start of this year 2026, I will try not to have such big break. I hope to keep the promise sincerely.
My thanks to all who have been following my posts.
2026 will be an year of Struggles, Sacrifices and Success!
My Best Wishes and Warm New Year Greetings to all of you!
Dear Comrades and Friends,
The year 2025, which has just passed away, was full of struggles against the onslaught and attack on the working class, pensioners, senior citizens and all the toiling masses by the ruling class, especially the Central Government and the big corporates. More than 22 crore people in the country are extremely poor, even unable to have one square meal a day. By demolishing the 29 worker – friendly labour laws, enacted as a result of sustained struggles by workers for years, have been put in the coffin and four anti-worker Labour Codes implemented to enable the big corporates to amass wealth at the cost of workers.
The inhuman attack on the Civil Pensioners, and their hard earned rights is nothing short of treachery on the part of the government and its henchmen. Enactment of the Pension Validation Act, intended to deny pension revision, Dearness Relief and other future benefits to existing pensioners is a clear violation of artcles of the Constitution and intended to cleverly over ride the historic declaration of tbe Constitution Bench of Supreme Court on 17 th December 1982, which is considered as the Magna Carta of the pensioners. Pensioners are treated as dirt, unwanted and as a burden on the society by the Modi government. Whatever benefits were gained in the past are being taken away as is the concession in Railway travel for senior citizens.
The MGNREGA enacted in 2004 by the UPA government under pressure from the Left M. P. s and which gave good relief to the unemloyed in the villages is replaced by the new VB G Ram G Act, which is almost negation of the earlier act and takes away the earlier benefits.
Thus the workers, farmers, government and PSU employees – all have been on prolonged struggles for restoring their rights and to make both ends meet.
New Year 2026 is not going to be different. The phased agitational programmes planned by the Forum of Civil Pensioners Associations (FCPA), the General Strike on 12 th February 2026 called for by all the Central Trade Unions (except BMS), struggles by workers of Postal, BSNL and other PSUs to ensure for better service to the public and strengthening the PSUs, the united struggles of crores of farmers – it is going to be a strong stream of sustained struggles. The struggles may be long resuting in many sacrifices, but it is certain that it will not be in vain.
Yes Comrades, the year 2026 is going to be an year of sustained Struggles and Sacrifices, but also an year of Success! Let us March Ahead in the New Year!
