NITI Ayog has stated that there is severe under employment in India and that ” what is needed is the creation of high-productivity, high wage jobs.” The first part is correct. But in the second part, it is not only that high productivity, high wages are to be created, more jobs should be created so that the unemployment is removed. NITI Ayog has to see not only highly paid wages sector, but the ordinary unemployed young people also.

Prime Minister Naredra Modi has told in his ‘Man Ki Baat’ that guilty will be punished. Then, why not Khattar, Chief Minister Haryana, is not removed from his post, for his criminal inaction which resulted in the death of about 30 people during the riots by the followers of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ?

Action should follow assurances.

CPI(M) PB has issued the following statement:

“The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) welcomes the Supreme Court verdict that the right to privacy is a fundamental right protected under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. In an unanimous decision the nine-member Constitution Bench headed by the Chief Justice of India overruled the earlier judgements on this issue in the M P Sharma and Kharak Singh case that held that right to privacy is not a fundamental right.

This landmark judgment should pave the way to protect, in this world of technology advance dominated by corporates, misuse of private data and infringing upon the privacy of individuals.

A separate five-member bench will decide on the issue of mandatory Aaadhar that this government is pushing through.”

The historic judgment of the Supreme Court delivered today will have far reaching consequences. The right of the individual which is being trampled upon by the corporates and the government, has been restored in law, by the highest judiciary of the country. The constitution has been upheld.
