During the last 15 years after formation of BSNL, more than 1,30,000 employees have retired from BSNL and about 30,000 have been recruited including regularisation of casual workers and direct recruitment to JTO and TTA. In all, more than one lakh employees have been reduced. This is seriously and adversely affecting the services of BSNL. The shortage in staff is mainly in sections dealing with fault repair, customer service etc. which are very important areas. Further, without young people and young blood no organisation can bring its vibrant growth.
BSNL management should take urgent steps for the same.
