very grave with more than 2,500 killed and more than 5,000 injured, houses / buildings collapsed and people in the streets and temporary tents arranged for them. this is one of the greatest tragedy fallen upon the people of Nepal. On the Indian side of the border in Bengal, UP and specially in Bihar, many lives have been lost and many injured.

Today also I spoke to Comrade Thankalal Shrestha, senior leader of the Telecom Employees Association of Nepal (TEAN) and enquired about the latest situation. Many of our comrades have been injured and their houses collapsed, but detailed information is not available due to failure of communications network in many parts of the country.

I  offered any help that may be required from our side. He said that in case any requirement is there, it will be informed and expressed thanks for the offer.

AIBDPA, CEC, Jamnagar

The Central Executive Committee meeting of the All India BSNL DOT Pensioners Association will be held at Jamnagar, Gujarat, on 28th and 29th of April 2015. The Reception Committee is making all arrangements for the comfortable stay of the CEC members and for holding the Committee.

The CEC will have to seriously discuss about the continuous attacks on the working class, and especially on the Pensioners by the government and plan agitational programmes. The VII CPC had met the NCCPA and other pensioners organisations, which have placed the demands effectively before the CPC. But there has not been any development, including on DA Merger or Interim Relief. The 78.2% IDA fixation for BSNL pensioners are pending for the last two years. Medical Allowance has not been restored. All these issues will be discussed in the CEC.

Even after 6 years of formation, the organisation is yet to be formed/strengthened in some areas. Plans should be made for forming the Association in all circles, effectively. These also will be discussed and suitable decision taken.

Towards Jamnagar CEC!

Nepalese Earth Quake

The death toll in Nepal is increasing hour by hour. It is reported that more than 2,500 bodies have been recovered. Many times more than that people have been injured. The hospitals don’t have the space to treat and medical staff are in shortage. There is no place in the mortuary to put the dead bodies.

The Nepalese people are in one of their darkest hours. Not only India, but the entire nearby countries have to give all help to the suffering Nepalese people.

Trinamool goondaism - W.Bengal elections.

Kolkata, April 25th – Massive rigging and violence marked the election to the 91 municipalities of the state whereby the Common voters were refrained from casting their votes in the election by TMC hooligans who pounced on the voters ably aided by the police and the administration. Common Voters tried to build up echelons of resistance against the heavily armed hooligans and resisted the hooligans partly in Siliguri Municipal Corporation vote.  West Bengal Left Front has condemned the heinous rigging and has taken 24 hours to meet again tomorrow to declare future movements that will be waged to upkeep the democratic rights of the people of the state.( Courtesy: Ganashakti)

Trinamool continues its terror in W.Bengal. It is afraid of its losing support base.

India has got very close relations with Nepal and it has to take extra efforts to help the Himalayan country in its time of crisis.
