Shri R.K.Laxman, the well known artist, passed away today, 26th January 2015, at a Pune Hospital. He was 94. He had a long career as an artist, His caricature and cartoons have won several prices. His serial cartoons in the dailies, “Common Man” and “you said it”  have been very popular and expressed the sentiments of the people on day to day events.

He was the brother of R.K.Narayan, the famous Novelist and short story writer, whose stories are much appreciated world over.
