The AIC of BSNLEU is continuing for the fourth day at Kolkata. Due to certain internet connection difficulties as also the busy schedule, I was unable to update the blog, which I am sure, will be understood by my visitors and well wishers.
The Conference started at Panchavati Resorts premises, on the outskirts of Kolkata. It is a beautiful place, a bit away from the rush and mess of the city. The Resorts belong to the ITC Hotel Groups and occupies a large area with all the paraphernaila of high class hotels. It is on the open ground in front of the Resorts that the Pandal for Conference was erected. Since the place of Conference was shifted from Telecom Factory, Alipore, just two days before the AIC is to start, it was a Herculean effort the Reception Committee had to make to make every thing ready. Hundreds of workers of the Reception Committee toiled day and night to ensure thst the pandal is ready by the morning of 6 th December 2014, when the Conference is to start.
When the delegates started reaching the venue in the arranged buses in the morning of 6th, the work was yet to be completed.
But, by the time of starting the AIC every thing was ready.  A beautiful and attractive stage with a background with the logo and name of the union and inspiring paintings greeted the delegates. Workers marching forward with the Red Flag in their hands was inspiring. ( to be continued).
