The large gathering of more than 3000, was anxiously waiting for the AIC to start. Still the buses were coming bringing the delegates from their respective accommodation in the city.
At sharp 10.00 AM, the flag hoisting ceremony started. While hoisting the National Flag, Com. V.A.N.Namboodiri President BSNLEU, mentioned about the ultimate sacrifices of the Martyrs who lived and died for the country, the promises that were made by the leaders after Independence, and how the promises were all forgotten. He  also called upon to work for a better deal for the toiling masses and workers. The Red flag of BSNLEU was hoisted by Com. P. Abhimanyu, General Secretary of the union.
All the drlegates led by Com.Sisir Bhattacharjee, seniormost and veteran leader of P and T employers, paid homage floral tributrd to the martyrs ( To be continued).
