As per a recent report of the World Bank – IMF, one third of the world poor is in India. According to the report, India has the maximum poor people in the world. Out of about 100 crore poor in the world, India owns more than 30 crore. China has 7 per cent, the second country with maximum.
This really is a sad situation. Even after 6 decades after independence, situation for the poor has not changed much. The ruling classes and ruling political parties did not care for the poor. They were interested only in amassing wealth for them and their families.
