It is some time since I had visited Kolkata. To attend the Circle Conference  of W.Bengal Circle being held at Krisnagar, I reached Kolkata yesterday, coming from Thiruvananthapuram after the AIBDA Conference.
The moment I came out of the plane and started walking to the exit through the airport building, I could feel the great change that has taken place. The irport has been modernised. There is space and there is grace. Convenient too. The too congested and inconvenient air port has been changed for the better.
The Airport Authority of India has done a good job and utilised its valuable funds for the modernisation.
Now money has been spent by AAI and airport modernised, the Govt. wants to hand over the same to private companies. This should be strongly opposed and defeated. The W.Bengal people, I am sure, will see that the privatisation move is defeated.
