It is reported in the press that the government is proposing to appoint CEO/CMD from private persons in Coal India Limited which is a PSU. This is strongly to be opposed. It seems that this is the first time that such a proposal is being mooted.

Public Sector has its own method of working, work culture, labour relations and most important of all, a commitment to the people and the nation. Private companies have none of these, except the target of maximising the profit. This will not suit the PSU culture. The present move is part of a greater plot of ruining the PSUs.

As such, we strongly oppose the proposal and demand that private CM/CEO should not be brought in PSUs.
