Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi, who became the Father of the Nation, was born on 2nd October 1869. He was shot dead by a Hindu fanatic on 30th January 1948. His life and work were a struggle for truth, a struggle for the Independence of the country. He moved the entire people of this country against the mighty British Empire and compelled them to quit and go.
It is in his memory that Gandhi Jayanti is observed through out the country on 2nd October, his birth day.
All of us can get determination and courage to fight against injustice from the life and struggles organised by Gandhiji.
