The National Convention of Workers against anti-worker labour reforms, disinvestment of PSUs, FDI etc under the auspices of 11 Central Trade Unions was held at New Delhi, today, 15 September 2014. The Convention was attended by delegates from the Central Trade Unions, independent federations etc. Com.V.A.N.Namboodiri, President, P.Abhimanyu GS and Swapan Chakraborty AGS attended from BSNLEU.
The Convention was presided by nominees of the CTUs including Com.A.K.Padmanabhan (CITU) Shiv Gopal Mishra (HMS), B.N.Rai(BMS) etc. Coms.Tapan Sen (CITU), Dr.Sanjeeva Reddy(INTUC), Gurudas Dasgupta (AITUC), Vrijesh  Upadhyaya (BMS) and other leaders addressed.
All the speakers opposed the anti-worker policies of the govt. as also the amendment to the labour laws taking away the rights of workers
The house  unanimously adopted a Resolution for organising state/district level conventions in October- November and National Protest Day on 5 December 2014.
All comrades are requested to implement the same effectively.
