A meeting was held today, 5 March at Raipur to felicitate Com. S.C.Bhattacharjee, Circle secretary BSNLEU Chhattisgarh Circle and All India Treasurer of BSNLEU. He retired from service after 38 years on 31-01-2014.The Meeting was held at Vipra Bhawan attended by a large number of comrades from Raipur and other parts of the circle. Comrades from Telecom Factory Bhilai were also present.
The meeting was presided over by Com. M.K.Gupta, President Raipur SSA. Coms. V.A.N.Namboodiri, President BSNLEU, P.Abhimanyu, GS BSNLEU, Sanyal (CITU), Dharmaraj Mahapatra (CITU) M.K.Nandi (CPIM), Atma Poojya, Circle Secretary AIBDPA, and many leaders of the trade union organisations addressed and felicitated Com. Bhattacharjee. His dedicated service both in BSNL as well as in trade union field was much appreciated. The presence of large number of leaders of various organisations itself was a sign of the popularity and trade union activity of Com.Bhattacharjee. All speakers wished for his continuous service to BSNLEU and trade union front.
Com. Bhattacharjee in reply to the felicitation thanked all comrades. He also spoke briefly about his experience in trade union field. He donated Rs. 25,000 to the CHQ BSNLEU.
The Meeting and discussion will certainly be a boost to the BSNLEU movement in Chhattisgarh.
