Today I was invited to address a Dharna being organised by the organisation of the Disabled, Differently abled including blind and deaf employees of the central and state governments being held at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. A large number of employees with different disabilities from all over India had come. Though disabled, they were very active and enthusiastic. They were getting introduced themselves before the dharna started. Com. Murali, who is the Secretary of the association introduced me to some leaders and also explained the demands.

After some of the organisers and participants spoke, I was asked to address. I congratulated them and spoke a few words. On behalf of BSNLEU, I expressed support to their demands and solidarity with their agitations. There were two specialists who in the sign language were translating for the benefit of the dumb and deaf workers.

Their disabilities were different, but their demands are the same. They should be given special consideration on the basis of the disability and allowed to have a better life. My full support for their demands and struggles. We all should support these workers.
