According to the Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC), there are more than 5.9 crore circulation of newspapers and magazines in India during the period July to December 2012.

The Hindi News papers was having the maximum circulation of 1.5 crore with the English in second with 90 lakhs. They are followed by Marathi with 54 lakhs and Malayalam with 40 lakhs. They are followed by Tamil(39 lakhs), Telugu (36 lakhs), Bengali (27 lakhs) Kannada (20 lakhs) Punjabi (8 lakhs) and Oriya (4.7 lakhs).

The maximum % of circulation per population will be for Malayalam.
