The population of India grows as ever. As per the statement of Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, the population as on 31 March 2011 is 121,07,26,932 ( one hundred twenty one crore, seven lakh, twenty thousand and nine hundred thirty two only). This is an increase of 18.19 crore more than as per the census report of 2001.
