The  Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance examining the  Direct Taxes Code (DTC) Bill has suggested to raise the income tax exemption limit to Rs 3 lakh and also hiking deduction on savings to Rs 2.5 lakh.

It is reported that the committee will  submit the report  within a week.This may be included in the Budget also to be presented in the session of the Parliament starting on 12th March.
