While some improvements were seen in providing mobile connections in earlier months, the August statistics show a complete down fall of the BSNL new connections.
While Idea gave 23.3 lakh connections in August 2011, Reliance provided 12.8 lakh, Airtel 11.5 lakhs and Vodafone 11.3 lakhs, BSNL has fared with a meagre 2.6 lakh connections only. The workers have been putting their maximum efforts for increasing the connections, then, how this down fall has come? We have pointed out earlier to the BSNL management that mobile lines are in acute short supply and this may affect the new connections. But management was telling that sufficient number of mobile lines are available.
This colourless performance of BSNL can only be due to shortage of Mobile lines. Will the management take immediate action to get the mobile lines?
Why BSNL could give only lakh mobile connections last month?

Sorry Mr, U r trying to hide the facts… The report shows a negative growth in 8 circles, is it because of capacity crunch ??? it means we cant keep our existing customers in that circles… they are facing the heat of MNP, first try to make our existing services best.. Kerala AP and TN are also governed by the same corporate office of BSNL, its is because of work culture.. if kerala or AP can do this.. others can follow..
Yes..that is very true which anoop says..don’t blame too much about management side..
If the employees only looks for struggle creating, then how will make profit by a company (eg; maruti).. Try to obey the regulations of the company..(palu thanna kaikku thanne kadikkano?) @¥¥#@ $
Shri Namboodiri Jee
I appreciate your concern and love for the employees. But then, it may not be needed always. It is not because of the capacity crunch that we could not perform in a particular month alone…. No. I do not buy this logic.
It is due to various reasons that we have been on the loosing side. I think, the matter should be deeply analysed and a conclusion to be drawn.
We have many problems and issues that are bothering us today. They are mainly, govt policies, shortage of stores, most inefficient material management, attitude of BSNL workforce (Top to Bottom), poor quality signal at many places, lengthy procedures which are the bottlenecks to efficient decision making, inability to market our products, lack of motivation, upgradation of the skillset of the employees, bad plans, corruption, bad managers and many more such things. And at the same time stiff competition from the peers in the industry is making us run for our lives.
It is the cumulative effect that we are experiencing today. It is no single reason due to which we are suffering this day.
I only wish that we make a U turn some day. Else (Y)our voices will be just like a storn in the tea cup. Let us wish each other that we should stand the competition and the wicked policies of the Government and produce a consistent performance thereby making a most needed, much awaited U turn.
Regards and Best Wishes
