The JPC seems to be going on a long route. At first it was said that the committee will be giving the report within a few months. Everything is altered now.
According to the Chairman of the JPC, Shri P.C.Chacko, the report may be submitted by the end of the Budget session of the Parliament next year, 2012. The reason: Evidences have to be taken from a long list of witnesses including the former DOT Secretaries, Ministers of Communications and so on. At present, according to the chairman of JPC, 78 sittings have to be held for taking evidences and 8 sittings for finalisation of the report.
Let us wait for the report. There is no other way.
