The government’s anti-PSU policy has been the main reason for the loss to Air India and its downfall in the market share. Mismanagement was another reason.
Now the latest report in the media has shown how the government was playing with the Air India. A non-experienced person in aviation sector, Aravind Jhadav, was appointed as Chairman, Air India in the final period of the UPA I government. The surprising information is that he has been dropped from the selection earlier stating that he has no experience in aviation. This inforamation is revealed from an RTI reply from the government.
Many such skeletons in the cup-board may be revealed again.
