Themedia reports indicate tht the Government may agree for a Joint Parliamentary Committee in the 2G scam issue, but would insist on a debate in Parliament, before it is referred to the JPC. The combined pressure from the opposition parties have compelled the government to take this option.  The government will discuss with the opposition before a final decision is taken in the matter.
