The TRAI has recommended to DOT to cancel 69 unified access service licences given to private telcos which either did not roll out services or for poor performanace. These include Loop Telecom, Aircel, Uninor, Sistema-Shyam, DB-Etisalat etc.  How these companies got 2G licences are also well known now.
