Kerala is one BSNL circle which has maintained the profitability all these years, even when there has been loss almost in every circle. Kerala had posted Rs, 284 crore in 2012-13. Now it is understood that the profit for 2013- 14 will be around Rs. 400 crore.
Our hearty congratulations for Kerala Circle and the workers there. If Kerala can make this progress, all other circles can also do the same thing. In many circles, the loss has come down. It is the route to make profits in future. Let all of us put our best for the people, for BSNL.
Dear Comrade,
Will you post a details of Income and Expenditures of Kerala Circle, I.e., (1) How much income is there from (1) Land lines(2) Mobiles (3) Leased Circuits (4) Renting Departmental buildings to others, including deductions of HRA and License Fees from employees and Officers, (5) By sharing BSNL Towers to other parties , etc, etc. and then ,(1) How much expenditures are there for (1) Payments salaries to Regular Staff (2) How much expenditures are there for maintenance of Landlines (2) Maintenance of Mobile lines (which includes maintenance of BTS/ Exchanges, Departmental quarters and its own building) (3) Service Tax Paid to Govt. (4) License Fees paid to Government (4) Money deducted from Contractors as VAT and paid to Governrnent (5) Taxes of Land and buildings paid to Government, etc. Apart from that We need to know the total capacity if land-line and mobile connections, which BSNL can now provide in Kerala Circle and how much working connections are there till now. (3) How much Regular Employees are there (4) How much Casual Employees are there (5) Value of Total Fixed assets of BSNL at Kerala Circle (6) Amount of running capital to run the services except Payments to the Regulat Staff and Contractual Staff, i.e., Cost of electricity, Disiel, perishable stores and raw materials. If we take the same figures from other Circles of same sizes of Kerala and compare he figures of each items with Kerala Circle, we will be able to determine the differences of their functioning and rectify the positions by following the functioning style of Kerala Circle. In the same way we may pick up small circles which are profiting and compare the other small circles which are loosing, we will be able to rectify/make corrections of the weaker portions of the loosing circles.
Kindly consider these suggestions and form your opinions and represent to the BSNL Authoriy.
Thanks,
Sankar Kumar Das, Dated 4th May 214.
