With the 7% increase for the Central government employees from January 2012, PSU employees were waiting for a good increase from April 2012. The DA increase from January was given earlier to them.
It has now been informed that there is no increase in IDA for PSU employees w.e.f. April 2012. It will continue at 56.7% till June, when a revision is to take place.
Central Govt revises DA rates once in six months, while it is once in three months in case of IDA for CPSU employees. Moreover, base of CG pay scales is January 2006, while it is January 2007 for CPSU. IDA for CPSU employees were increased by 4.8% and 4.7% respectively from 1st Oct’11 and 1st Jan’12 totaling 9.5% in six months from July’11. BSNL employees and pensioners should keep this information in mind while comparing with CDA increase.

Mr. Van Namboodiri I have never heard about any extra increment or fitment to TTA’s recruited in year 2007 & 2008 on your site. Are u serious about us ? The JTO’s of 2007 & 2008 batch have taken 5 extra increments on their own and their unions stand. I think that their counting is very less as compared to our union strength. You are requested to please take serious steps regarding this case.

mr.Van Namboodiri, sorry to make u aware, but can you please tell us that when was the last time, the fitment case of DRTTAs were updated on your website. looking like BSNLEU does not belongs to we TTAs, it belongs only to phone mechanic and clerical cadre non-executive employees of BSNL.
Because of strong and consistant support of SNEA , JTOs could get the fitment benifit. But there is no such union with us to put our case strongly in front of management. We are very much disappointed by BSNLEUs work regarding fitment benifit to DRTTAs appointed on and after 01/01/2007….

The case has already been taken by the Union and it is being pursued as mentioned several times in this blog itself. The union is serious about the issue as in other such cases. The matter was taken in the National Council meeting held on 24th June 2011 and continuously has been pursued. In all the standing committees of the NC which are usually held in every month, the same has been discussed and pursued strongly. A reply given by the management on the demand is published in page No.17 of March issue of Telecrusader. Since you, I persume, are a member of BSNLEU, you will be having the BSNLEU journals from which you can see the minutes of the Standing Committees, National Councils etc. in this connection. We do not agree with the position taken by the management and we are pursuing the case. The fact that a case is not settled does not mean that the union is not serious. The case of anomaly of the 2000 wage revision is still pending despite many discussions and committees in which all cadres and sections are involved and the wage agreement was signed by all the then existing unions. All the unions have taken the case, but it is yet to be settled. In the same way, all the unions including the executives are demanding 78.2% IDA fixation as per government orders since 2009. Now even a strike by all the unions are being organised. But the management has not conceded the same so far. BSNLEU was severely criticised for not getting the qualifying years reduced for JTO Exam. But at last it was reduced for 7 years though our demand was 5 years. Delay takes place and full demand is not achieved many times. In the wage revision itself, we could not get whatever we demanded although there has been substantial improvement. Placing the demand, discussions, struggles are all part of this process and it is with great difficulty that things are getting settled. Undue and unjustified criticism of the unions, instead of the management who refuses to concede the demands, will not benefit anybody.

We are already trying to get additional increments for DR TTAs as in the case of DR JTOs. The case has already been discussed in the National Council also.

78.2% IDA merger with pay is applicable to the pre-2007 employees since it is part of the wage revision which was wrongly calculated at 68.8% merger earlier. The earlier fixation is corrected to make it 100% fixation. This will benefit all employees in future including post-2007 recruitees, since it is a principle of 100% neutralisation which is applicable infuture also.

It is neither the Central Government employees nor the PSU employees who collect, calculate and announce the cost of living indexes. It is being done by the government machinery arranged for the purpose. If there is any wrong in the calculation etc. the unions can raise the same. The CG employees are also not consulted before the announcement.
Sir, I am a DRTTA, recruited after 01/01/2007 in bsnl.As u know that there is a court case for 30% fitment to DRTTA.Being the leader of recognised union should you not support this case of DRTTA and make efforts for early settlement of this issue out of court as in case of DRJTOs.

Mr namboodri sir, I heard and was told that when DA is more than 50% then the allowances will be increased by 25% or so, Is this applicable to PSU employees sir?
After the DA/IDA is increased to 50% or more, the demand for the merger of the same with pay is raised. When it is merged, there will be many benefits including in allowances.
SIR, THERE IS ANY NEWS ABOUT IDA INCREASE FROM JULY 2012
According to the statistics, PSU employees are eligible for 4.8% additional DA from 1st July 2012.Orders are yet to be issued.

Expert committee report on CPSEs, Nov. 2011, given to Planning Commission has recommended that 10% profit should be shared instead of 5%. Also retirement age of directors / chairman should be increased to 63 years. (Para 2.5 and 1.8).
Also that periodicity of pay revision should be 5 years instead of 10 years.

The United Forum / BSNLEU has demanded for wage revision in 2012, after 5 years of last wage revision at the time of the wage agreement itself. It was stated by management that wage revision for non-executives will be done along with executives.

Protection of Pay means that the pay you are getting will not be reduced and will be protected. The case of DA will depend upon how the orders are issued for pay protection.
